We plan to report on the power numbers in the next issue. For now, we're going to run through the fitting procedure in this issue. You'll find a condensed version here, with a more detailed step-by-step guide online at www.eurotuner.com for anybody who wants to tackle these tasks.
According the Euro Sport, everything is fairly straightforward except for the coilovers. Needing a spring compressor and ideally a lift among the specialized tools, it's something you might not want to tackle unless you're experienced. While the car's on the lift, it's then a doddle to install the exhaust and sway bars, taking Vic no time at all.

Don't miss our dyno tests of the new hardware and Unitronic software to discover how much power we made from Project B6.
Coilovers
Project B6 was previously fitted with lowering springs, but we wanted a more complete solution. We used H&R's Street Performance coilover kit. The front features a threaded shock body with 1.2-2.2" of height adjustment. The rear has an independent spring and shock combo with height adjuster to lower the car 0.75-1.7".
This kit runs for $1450. For lowering, we have the rears all the way down and the fronts about a third of the way down.
Front
Begin by raising the car with a jack or lift. Once elevated and with the wheels removed, loosen the 16mm bolt that connects the strut to the steering end-link.. Remove the 18mm lower strut mount bolt
Remove the upper strut mount bolt. This is difficult and you might need a mallet. Once removed, disconnect the strut assembly from the wheel spindle and end-links bolt
Next, identify the three 16mm bolts securing the suspension in the shock towers. One of the bolts is hidden so remove the plastic cap. Undo these bolts. On the last bolt, secure the suspension as it will fall out
With the strut assembly out, dismantle it by removing the 18mm bolt at the top. It may require an impact wrench. Once removed, everything comes apart. Note: With stock springs, you must use of a spring compressor before removing the nut for safety. Because our A4 already had shorter springs, we didn't need to
Prepare the H&R coilovers by adjusting the ride height to the desired position. Then align the spring, bump stop, multi-link suspension and top bearing for assembly. Tighten the 18mm top bolt
Install the H&R aluminum height adjuster by tightening the bottom using three built-in screws. For adjustment, we set the height to the lowest setting (1.7" according to H&R)
Now secure the top and bottom of the strut assembly with the appropriate 16mm and 18mm bolts. Tighten and torque bolts. The fronts are done!
Rear
The rear shock and spring are independent. So begin by removing the 21mm bolt that connects the bottom of the rear shock to the A-arm and the two 13mm bolts on top of the shock. Then remove it
