Sway Bars
H&R sway bars are cold-formed and heat-treated with forged seamless bar ends for durability. The diameters are bigger than stock - 32mm in the front compared to the stock 31mm, and 20mm rear compared to 16mm. In addition, they're adjustable for driver preferences. We set our bars to the softer setting to avoid too much oversteer. The front bar retails for $329, while the rear is $269.
Rear
To remove the rear bar, the exhaust has to be loosened. In our case, we were already changing the exhaust, so it was removed completely (see next page). Then, locate and remove the two sway bar bushings secured by four 13mm bolts. Then disconnect the 16mm bolts connecting the sway bar end-links
The sway bar should now come out. You'll need to transfer the bushing brackets to the H&R bar. Simply pull off and push onto the new bar
Install the H&R rear bar to the chassis by securing the bushings and end-links as above. The bar has two settings, with the softest being the outer holes
Front
To remove the front sway bar, remove the 16mm bolt connecting the end-link to the bar
Then remove two 13mm bolts from the bracket securing the sway bar bushings. Repeat on the other side and the sway bar is free
Now install the bar. Fasten the 13mm bolts that connect the bushing brackets to the chassis. Then, use the 17mm bolts provided by H&R to secure the end-links
