White lightWhile Kevin was handling the stereo, NGP Racing's Nate Brown made a house call to install new side markers. The stock amber markers call entirely too much attention to themselves on the white GTI, so a pair of NGP clear markers were in order.
The installation was simple, taking only five minutes and the results speak for themselves. The clear markers are supplied with amber bulbs so they shine the right color when illuminated. It doesn't get much easier than that.
After a short afternoon of work, Project GTI was back on the road, sounding better and with a cleaner exterior. But looks aren't everything, and the GTI is itching for more performance upgrades.
Although the 18" Hufweisen factory wheels look good, they're a bit hefty and may be better suited as boat anchors than GTI wheels. So we're looking for some lighter wheels and the stock brakes have their marching orders as well. Stay tuned for more upgrades soon.
