Theres nothing quite like strapping your VW to the dyno and discovering youre putting out 10 less horsepower to the ground than you anticipated. On the flip side of that coin, theres nothing like learning your new VW came with an exceptionally strong engine. Both of these scenarios happened at the Euro Sport (www.eurosportacc.com) Dyno Day, which utilized Euro Sports very own in-ground Dynojet dyno.
While we were at Euro Sports facility, we took note of a handful of the cars that made runs, as well as a generic list of engine modifications, and we thought it would be fun to print them for all to see. From embarrassing to completely nuts, the horsepower ratings from some of the cars surprised everyone one way or another. (As a side note, the horsepower numbers printed here are wheel horsepower. If you insist on knowing what the flywheel output probably is, try dividing the number by 0.85.)
