OPTIMA® Batteries will kick off its nationwide search for the 2010 Ultimate Street Car on May 1-2 with the first-ever OPTIMA Street Car Faceoff, to be held at the historic Road America race track in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin. The OPTIMA Street Car Faceoff, presented by Baer Brakes and Detroit Speed & Engineering, is an exciting new race event to showcase automotive performance, styling and aftermarket products as select vehicles compete in a series of events including the BF Goodrich Hot Lap Challenge, Detroit Speed Autocross, Baer Brakes Speed Stop Challenge, and a style and design competition. OPTIMA and its partners will celebrate the entire Street Car Faceoff weekend with activities that unite the performance automotive aftermarket industry. The famed Roadster Shop in Mundelein, Illinois, home to the 2009 Good Guys Street Machine of the Year, Barry Blomquist’s “C1RS” ‘62 Corvette, will host an open house on Friday, April 30th at 11:00 a.m. CST. As someone who's done a big turbo on my own volkswagen, I will warn you now that you are getting what you pay for-a whole kit for 900 bucks is not going to be a quality one. The blow valve they say is in the kit goes for 200+, a t3/t4 turbo by garrett typically runs the price of this kit alone, and a good intercooler kit is usually 500+ depending on size and application. Not to be a pessimist, but you DON'T know what you are getting with this kit, if you are a strong believer in ebay do so at your car's risk. Not just quality issues, but fitment issues-and I don't know how experienced of a gear head you are. I'll be the 1st to admit you can get away with some things on ebay-example a lot of ppl get downpipes off ebay and don't have problems, but there's certain things you should never, ever compromise on. so i was driving my 98 jetta yesterday and cam around a turn and shifted into 2nd when the clutch pedel went right to the floor board and stayed there...i looked under the hood and the cable had come out of where it connects to the trans...i dont know exactly what its called...any ideads on a quick fix to last me a lil while? it looks like it just something to prevent it from going throgh that hole again...PLEASE HELP!!!! :confused: p.s if it helps any its a 2.0 with a 5 speed

I recently had my 2006 Audi A4 2.0T Serviced for the diagnostic of P2293 which indicates Low Fuel Pressure. At first hoping it was a sensor on the fuel pump it was realized the camshaft as well as the high pressure fuel pump had to be replaced. Although the cost of parts was not that extreme, the labor was intensive and costed a pretty penny. Nearly a day after I got the car back and drove it, the check engine light came back on. Does anyone know what the problem could be now? All parts were brand new when installed, and all fluids were changed as well after the service.

To answer your first question about your brother's car...it would be easier if he found a VW tech somewhere close to where he lives. I'd even suggest going to your local VW dealership and asking a tech in there. I'm sure there's gonna be a tech in there with a modded VW. I assume you mean this car? Votex is the correct name. Voltex is a Japanese aero tuner. I believe Votex is the name of Volkswagen of Germany's accessories line. You can order the newer kits directly from the dealers, but I'm not sure about older parts. It wouldn't hurt to give them a call. 2003 jetta gls 1.8t... its got the factory spoiler n what not.. its all stock right now.. im def tryin to get like the real sleek euro look ya kno? its silver and i want to leave it that silver, maybe some silver flake in the paint.. im undecided on full body kit, or front lip.. im thinking kit tho and i was looking at the rs4 body kit. the front just isnt exactly to my liking on that. as far as rims. i want spokes definantly. i really want bbs but they r so *** expensive. i dnt wanna spend like 2 monthssalary. im still unsure about my wing as well. i wanna go with something bigger but potentially the same style and i want a roof spoiler too.
