hey guys i have an 03 audi a4 and i was wondering if anyone has a link for a diy timing belt job. i dont feel like paying 600 to get it done when i can do it myself. also has anyone seen a 1.8t to 2.7 engine swap? is it possible?

I'm changing my waterpump because it's gone the way of the doh-doh bird. My car has 100,xxx miles on it and the timing belt has never been replaced. How much of a pain is it to do it yourself? And how much does it cost to pay somebody to do it for me?

i have a 96 318is with an engine that has over 200k miles and dont really want to deal with that engine anymore, so i figured why not try and get another 4 banger and shove it in there. the sr20det doesnt cost much but still makes great power for less money.i know it sounds dumb, i dont really care thou. my question is does anyone out there think this engine will fit in the car and if you do, how would i go about making this all work?

i have a 2004 vw golf 2.0, at it started to make a clicking noise, /knocking noise at 190,which is operating temp,i took it to vw and they said that its coming from the n80 purge solenoid, at that it is normal, its loud enough to hear inside the car with the windows up ,the tell me this is 100 percent ok , does any bodys vw golf do this and is it a 2.0??? also it has a air leak from the throttle body,a line coming off of it,they told me this is a controlled air leak ,that all 2.0 engines do this, does anybodys do this also?? is it normal

Hello my name is John and i own a silver 1998 A4 and im wanting to add a body kit to my car, but alot of people are saying to me that that’s stupid and so are spoilers. I want to know why? ive seen alot of audis online with body kits. ( not to many with spoilers though) whats the deal are these ppl being hypocritical or are they right? Also im looking for new speakers for my front and rear what companies make speaker that will fit into the speaker holes i already have? Thanks a bunch :grin: John

My engine is shot. In order to repair it, I must get a new one. No one can rebuild it because no one has any parts. Problem is that this car of mine is so rare that there is only one new engine available in the US. And it's price tag is $7,000. I need help finding a used one which I am sure is sitting somewhere. I just want to put the word out. My hubby knows the specifics, but I know that I am totally screwed.
