Last month we ran the results of our fifth Photochop Challenge. We printed the top examples from the challenge to create a paint scheme for a BMW touring car. This time, we're going back to basics and giving you a photo of the new VW CC to manipulate in any way you see fit.

The new Audi A4 already hit US dealers, but Europeans are preparing themselves for the new TDI concept e which was introduced at the Paris Auto Show this week. The new technology enables the Audi sedan to achieve 58.95mpg!

Audi AG unveiled a new concept today at the Paris Motor Show which runs from October 2-10. It look like it could be competition to the BMW 1-Series or Mini Cooper, but the new A1 Sportback concept is turning plenty of heads with hopes of future production and even sale in the US. The new concept is a five-door, four-seater car in the sub-compact class (the three-door was introduced in '07). It still has much of Audi's flare and characteristics, but in a small package at 13.09 ft long and 5.74 feet wide. In relation to a Mini Cooper, it's about 1 ft longer and mere inches wider. The design of the new A1 is what sets it apart though. The styling is dynamic and cutting-edge while the interior has been optimized for space and comfort.

The great thing about Waterfest is that the weekend isn't just about show queens and tuner booths. There's the element of speed involved that many other car shows neglect.

There are many parallels between being in the performance auto industry and being a chef; both bring their own unique twists to the table. Just as two chefs can take the same ingredients and come up with two different dishes, two enthusiasts can come up with completely different cars when given the same stock vehicle.

BMW 135I Project
You may recall last month that Turner Motorsport (www.turnermotorsport.com) sent us the first pair of H&R sway bars in the country for our E82 135i project. Unfortunately, we hadn't anticipated the need to drop the rear subframe in order to fit them (et 7/08). So we visited the experts at BMS in Santa Ana, CA (www.bmsracecars.com) where owner Chris Welch handed us off to Chris "Junior" Chapman, who'd be doing the wrenching on our car. Although they estimated five hours for the job, he was confident of doing it in less if we weren't slowing him down for photos.

While attending last year's Essen Motor Show (et 3/08), we didn't want to waste our limited time in Europe drinking pils and stuffing ourselves with schnitzel (that's not entirely true -Ed), so we coordinated an exclusive tour to go behind the scenes of the H&R Springs manufacturing facility. The plant sits 150km (90 miles) northwest of Frankfurt and employs more than 100 people, from engineers and factory workers to customer service representatives.

The new S4 will receive a potent 333hp, 324.5 ft-lb 3.0L V6 with direct fuel injection and an intercooled supercharger. The factory claims it will accelerate from 0 to 62mph in 5.1sec and achieve 24.25 mpg. Of course, it wouldn't be an Audi without its Quattro permanent all-wheel drive system (40/60 split), plus the addition of sport suspension for great off-the-lot handling. Transmission options will include a seven-speed S tronic or six-speed manual. There's also an option for a sport differential which is said to distribute the torque effectively between the rear wheels.With performance this impressive, Audi hopes to compete with the BMW M3 sedan and Mercedes C63 AMG.

Debuting this week at the IAA international auto show in Hanover, Germany is this intriguing new Volkswagen Pickup concept. It's the fourth new model in the manufacturer's commercial vehicle lineup and possibly the most exciting to date.
