The judges of the annual EyesOn Design Award for the best concept car at the NAIAS Detroit auto show selected the Lexus LF-LC Hybrid Sport Coupe as their top pick.
It rewards the work of the design team at the Lexus Calty studio in California, which created the inspiring 2+2 coupe. Their aim was to explore the future of Lexus design, making it more emotive and avant garde while harnessing new technologies.
Kevin Hunter, Calty President, said: “The LF-LC was a dream car to design and a true collaborative effort at Calty. It is an honor to have that work recognized by our peers and to receive the award.
The EyesOn Design Awards are judged by a group of leading automotive designers and academics, and are given in recognition of skills and creativity in different areas of design for both concept and production vehicles, including aesthetics and innovation, concept implementation, functionailty and the spirit of industrial design.
