Aston Martin Ready for Nurburgring 24-Hour Challenge

Aston Martin will have strong representation at the upcoming Nurburgring 24-hour race.
Its line-up will be headed by a race prepared version of the manufacturer's new 4-door sport car, Rapide, as well as a V12 Vantage with aerodynamic enhancements.
The Rapide race car will be close to production standard, but with full FIA face safety modifications, interior trim removed to reduce weight, retuned suspension, and will be running on stickier tires for track use.
The V12 Vantage will be based off the production standard race variant, but will include aerodynamic enhancements.
The car is intended to be a technical exercise to allow Aston Martin engineers to explore further performance potential of the V12 Vantage with the new aerodynamic aides that provide greater downforce.
The two factory entries will also be joined by a number of customer entries, adding a strong Aston Martin presence.
