Ooops. It's not critical, but today Volkswagen of America announced a voluntary recall involving 13,500 cars equipped with DSG trannies. Models affected include the Jetta, Jetta SportWagen, GTI and Eos with build dates between 9/08 and 8/09.
The recall applies to 2009 model year vehicles along with a very limited number of 2010 model year vehicles. Certain cars may have a faulty temperature sensor in the DSG transmission which could result in warning lights on the dashboard. And according to VW, this might cause the car to shift into neutral in rare cases.
