RENAULT'S ELECTRIC VEHICLE CONCEPTS
Renault generated a buzz this year's Frankfurt Motor Show with the unveiling of four electric vehicle concepts.All Renault's concept cars in Germany preview its electric vehicle range said to be released in 2011.
The Renault electric vehicles are:
Twizy Z.E. Concept
- A pearlescent white ultra-compact and nimble city car with 20hp motor and footprint barely larger than a scooter. It has a top speed of 47mph, with acceleration comparable to 125cc motorbike.Zoe Z.E. Concept:
A compact, four-seat super-mini for short daily journeys in urban areas. Scissor doors at the front and butterfly doors at the rear with polyurethane gel for front and rear of car to underline its hi-tech feel and protect components against minor knocks in town. Allows a 100-mile range and features 21" alloy wheels and retractable rear spoiler for greater aerodynamic efficiency. Comes complete with mood lighting and futuristic climate control.Fluence Z.E. Concept:
An electric version of current Fluence sedan with a range of 100-miles. Has low-rolling resistance Michelin tires and Samsung Jet phones.Kangoo Z.E. Concept:
An electric van for fleet and commercial use with solar roof panels and even a heated steering wheel.'Quickdrop':
