When the original Lamborghini Reventón was introduced in ‘07, it caused a huge stir with this million-dollar price tag and impressive power figures. Limited to twenty units, the machine possessed 650hp and 487 lb-ft of torque from its 6.5 liter V12. According to Lambo, it was capable of 211mph top speeds and 0-62mph in 3.4 seconds.At Frankfurt Motor Show, Lambo returned with the topless version of its Reventón making it one of the fastest convertibles in the world. The car again will be limited to a production of twenty and cost somewhere in the ballpark of 1.1 million Euros (1.62 million USD).
“The Reventón is the most extreme car in the history of the brand,” commented Stephan Winkelmann, President and CEO of Lamborghini. “The new Roadster adds an extra emotional component to our combined technological expertise – it unites superior performance with the sensual fascination of open-top driving.”
The convertible shares virtually all the same specs of the coupe measuring 185 inches long with a wheelbase of 105 inches. The driver and passenger seating positions are low and sporty, separated by a substantial central tunnel.The design features the arrow-like front-end with huge air intakes and broad side skirts. The doors are in typical Lambo fashion as they open up like scissors.
The weight of the Reventón Roadster is approximately 3725 lbs, just 55 lbs more than the coupe. And like the coupe, the Roadster is dressed in one color called Reventón grey, which has a matte finish.
