Hamann Aston Martin V8
The Aston Martin V8 is one of our favorite looking cars and Hamann Motorsport has tried its hand at refining the V8 Vantage and Vantage Roadster. A new suite of sports accessories and body parts makes the sportscar even more unobtainable. For the aerodynamics, form follows function and the airflow has been optimized over the car's silhouette to allow increased speed and attractive styling. The sportscar can be equipped with a lip spoiler or an entire front spoiler. Along the sides, the skirts give a lowered, stretched look. At the back, the spoiler fitted to the rear lid matches the three-piece diffuser, which in turn frames the tailpipes of Hamann's sports exhaust. The parts are available in fiberglass or matte carbon and these can be paired to the 21" Edition Race wheels. We'd also encourage you to visit www.hamann-motorsport.de for a video of the car, even though it's not moving.
ABT Scirocco
We're all incredibly jealous the new Scirocco isn't coming to the States, and this Abt version illustrates just what we're missing. The look of the latest Abt Scirocco is certainly impressive, with itsdistinctive front spoiler that combines with the side skirts to create an aggressive design. Details such as air inlets and lines down the doors emphasize how the car rises toward the back. From the rear, the valance and quad tailpipe muffler forms a sportyunit with the Abt rear wing and rear panel. You can then add the company's 20" BR or AR wheels to complement the body kit. Other upgrades include springs to drop the Scirocco up to 30mm. There are also engine upgrades and a braking system with 345mm rotors. Oh well, we can dream...

Not a month goes by without aFe releasing new product, and this issue is no different. This time we have a drop-in filter with deep rounded pleats for the E90 M3 V8. Using five layers of progressive cotton media, it produces excellent filtration and flow. In fact, recent testing apparently showed it produces 54% more airflow than the factory filter. It's also available as a dry filter that uses two layers of synthetic media and requires no oiling after cleaning. Alternatively, there's the new aFe stage 2 air intake system for the 2000-06 BMW X5 (E53) With 4.4/4.8L V8. It's said to maximize air velocity and improve hp, torque, mpg and throttle response. Another test was said to have found 10hp and 20 lb-ft thanks to 87% more airflow than the factory intake. The durable powdercoated heat shield blocks engine heat for more consistent performance. It uses factory-mounting locations for easy installation.
