Introducing the world's first V12 TDI passenger vehicle. The new Q7 uses a diesel engine generating 500hp and 737.56 lb-ft of torque from 6.0 liters. This gives the Q7 enough power commonly found in sports cars. The Q7 can reach zero to 62mph in 5.5 seconds and has a top speed of 155mph. Fuel consumption isn't bad either getting 20.82 mph, much higher than its competition in the SUV market.
The drivetrain will come standard with Quattro four-wheel drive and six-speed tiptronic. Adaptive air suspension will provide a comfortable ride, yet enough control to stiffen the dampeners for higher performance driving. Matched with carbon-ceramic brakes and 20" standard wheels, this Q7 will be one of the best-equipped and fun-to-drive SUVs in the European market.
The new Q7 will hit European dealers in late '08 but no information has been released on its US release. Stay tuned!
