Show Cars 2I totally agree with you about how car shows have snuffed any concept of originality, or of simply praising a car that's straight up "clean". As far as Lambo-style doors go, it really depends on what car you install them on, and what stage the project is at. I'd hate to see a near-stock car feature nothing more than a loud exhaust, altezza tail lights and a set of Lambo doors. However, in the case of Christian Pazminos' BMW M3 (10/05), Lambo doors provide the finishing touch, and certainly catch the eye.Nick BuscemiEmail
Bikes & CarsIn your 9/05 issue you requested bike pics, so I've sent you my first red love - a Ducati 851, and my second - a 2003 1.8T GTI with APR chip and 2.5" turbo-back exhaust, plus a Euro Sport Accessories CAI.
I love my VW, but hands down, my bike will rock the car in drag, top speed, road course, you name it. I just can't find a way to get the wife and kids on the Duc!Rick CookRichardson, TX
For Don LeakeThis was the "untouchable R32 of Fredericksburg" owned by my friend Don Leake. On July 4 he was on his way home from getting gas on Route 1 near Massaponax. As he was going down Guinea Station Road, something made him run off the road and his car smashed into a tree. Don was able to tell two men who stopped where he lived, who is wife was and to tell her he loves her.
He is currently in Inova Hospital. He thinks somebody was either standing in the road, or someone ran him off the road. Either way, he suffered two broken legs, broke his left arm, his neck and some ribs. The doctors say he will be paralyzed from the chest down and he's unable to move his arms or hands. He'll soon be sent to Georgia for rehab.
Don would always talk about putting his car in eurotuner so we'd really appreciate it if you could do this for him. He'll be so happy to see that his car made it in the mag.Chris Brown & Brett Gemail
