Behind the front wheels are Porsche 996 Turbo monoblock calipers squeezing Pagid Yellow pads onto Porsche 993 rotors - a BIRA (Brake Improvement Research Association) setup designed to ensure consistent brake performance by helping to significantly reducing brake fade. Yet the red calipers and Kosei wheels are the only hint of any performance enhancements.
Once a Honda racer, Jeff Gerner is now an Audi diehard. His wife, Linda, even caught the bug and currently drives an '06 A4 Sportline 2.0T, but Jeff also has another S4. And while his daily-driven '94 S4 featured here was built with broad torque driveability in mind, he's going all out with a second '93 S4. In fact, he hopes to run it at the Pikes Peak hillclimb and Bonneville Salt Flats later this year. His target: 222mph, thanks to a scary GT42 turbo. We'll definitely have to check it out once it's done.
