Under the hood, things were basically left alone. The only mods to the 1.8T were a K&N air intake, a Super Sprint exhaust and an HKS Super Sequential blow-off valve. Oh yeah, did we mention the 60 shot of NOS and a GIAC chip? Okay, now we did. Dyno’d, horsepower is 186 at 5,100 rpm, while torque is 241 at 3,500 rpm. Chris’ best quarter-mile time? We’re talking 13.61 seconds with the NOS and 14.6 without. The chassis was tweaked a bit to give the A4 a lower stance. Chris replaced the factory suspension components with Neuspeed front and rear springs and the front and rear struts with Bilstein ones, lowering the car a total of 1.3 inches all around. Sampling from companies such as Racing Hart, Yokohama, and Nitto, the wheels were replaced with 18-inch Racing Hart C2s sporting Yokohama Parada 225/40-18 tires. On the track, 15-inch front wheels from a VW Passat with Nitto 205/45-15 rubber help Chris cross the finish line. The stock brake pads were then replaced with EBC Green pads.

Mike Koss in Ft. Lauderdale completed the bodywork, which consisted of a Wing’s West rear wing, custom-painting the lower body pieces, and leaving the Xenon headlights stock but upgrading to Xenon foglights. Chris’ magic hands cast a spell over the interior, and what else but the mobiletronics. The A-pillar was modified for the Autometer boost gauge, and a MOMO Race aluminum shift knob was installed. Chris chose to stick to the stock head unit and CD player, but to ensure entertained homies 24-7, a Clarion VDH 9600 VHS player plays the latest film flicks. Just turn to either headrest, or open up the glove box for your viewing pleasure. Two Rockford Fosgate amps, plus Infinity subs and 5¼-inch separates from the Perfect line, are tied together with Phoenix Gold wiring for surround sound tune bumpin’.

Let’s face it, Audis can be difficult cars to work with. Call it the diva syndrome. But with a little luck and good friends, such as the ones Chris had to help him throughout the project, challenges soon turned into triumphs. These trends include girlfriend Nichole, homeboys Tony and Mauricio, and one very special person Chris will never forget—his best friend Jimbo Partwood, who was there from the beginning of his A4 makeover and whose presence is sorely missed. While both Chris and Snoop are “twerkin’ that s*#% while ridin’ up the highway, the fly way, swervin’ in another lane, trying to maintain” be it in Coconut Creek or the LBC, just remember to chill with MAX until the next episode.
