Audi is having a field day with its B6 A4. The car is universally loved and is proving to be the most popular crossover car for drivers looking to leave the Japanese import scene and get into something with a little more class and sophistication. However, the older B5 model still has its admirers, and I can vouch it was a very fine car -- having owned a 1.8T FWD for about two years.
We were intrigued by Jaime Rivera's A4 1.8T quattro, primarily because of its custom widebody styling, which was achieved by pulling the original metal fenders rather than gluing on plastic additions. So we decided to take a closer look. And we're glad we did.
What we discovered is that not only does this car have a fine pedigree, but so does its owner. Jaime was one of the founding members of Europrojektz.com, which started in NorCal and has grown into a nationwide phenomenon that even boasts overseas members.
