Letter Of The Month? As much as I support the decision of changing the name of the magazine, and think it's great you'll now be able to bring us more Euro content, I hope this doesn't change the focus of the magazine. Another thing, as much as we all love european car (hehe... yeah right), we (the Dub guys) don't want to hear about those $50,000 Bimmers or a $200,000 Renntech Mercedes. I mean, don't get me wrong, I love these cars, but don't let that be the focus of the magazine. The bottom line, eurotuner better give us the MAX Power we VW/Audi guys crave! Although this is a name change, the same staff is still at the helm, and we're determined to bring affordable Euros to the public. That said, we may feature the occasional mega-dollar M-B or Bimmer, but that's purely because if someone offers to let us romp on their $100 grand supercar, we're going to take it-it's our duty as automotive journalists.
Good Job? I just want to congratulate you guys on a job well done. Most people probably don't appreciate how much effort goes into publishing a magazine, and fewer appreciate how much effort goes into changing the title. It isn't just a matter of slapping new logos on a few pages, it's a complete rethinking of the entire publication. Porn Car? I've always wondered what the head of Porn Star did in his spare time. I mean, I heard the guy who created the company started off in a band named Porn Star, and from there sold more t-shirts then he could get gigs for the band. I was reading in the December issue of ET that Sean Murphy is the guy responsible, and now he's using his good fortune to build kick- ass cars. That must be the life. ! The chick in the install is named Ashley, and yes, she is a Porn Star groupie. Once we started talking to her, we soon discovered that not only is she extremely hot, but she's also a club racer. In fact, Sean's goal for building his C-class (which is featured in this issue) is so he can race it on the track-something Sean fervently insists Ashley had no influence in at all.

! Right now, nobody knows if we're getting the A3. There is a chance, but VW and Audi would need to decide market positioning for the A3 before the car could be brought over, since the A3 and the Golf are extremely similar. What we can use the A3 for right now is foreshadowing for the Mk 5 Golf-which is definitely coming to America. The new A3 is going to offer the 3.2L V-6, and that means that more than likely the Mk 5 will be offered with that engine, too. Then again, since we're just getting the 24v VR6, it will probably be at least three or four more years before we get any kind of confirmation.
Wagon Power? I don't get it. You guys reviewed the new 2001.5 Passat wagon in the December issue and everyone was disappointed with the amount of power the grocery-getter had. I've never driven one, but just looking at the numbers, a 190hp engine with a larger displacement than the S4's 2.7L V-6 should, in theory, supply ample power. The only difference is 60 horses, and I can't believe that's the difference between a super sedan and a slowpoke wagon.A.NaramorOntario, CA
