"Two things Mr. Murphy, bring your Benz to us immediately, and some free Porn Star gear oughtta justify the OT we're gonna have to put in."
"Done, and done. Really cool. Um, what about performance stats, do you have a G-Tech pro?"
"Do you have a VIP store opening-we all need to know about?"
"That means, yes, right?"
Sean Murphy has been in the Euro tuning scene for quite awhile now. His Audi was smoking our pages about a year ago. Now his new Benz has graduated to a feature car. Sean has status, style, and a blueprint for anyone who wants to take something exotic and get down.
Suspension, yeah let's start with that. Sean had Intrax springs, sway bars, and Koni shocks installed because as usual, he wanted a firm ride. These dropped the Benz to the ground, and gave the handling more of a personal touch. To enhance that feeling and give the MBZ some racing appeal, 19x8.5 Zentti Mystiks with Toyo 235/35-19s are in the back, and 18x8 Zenetti Mystiks 225/40-18s are in the front.
What about Power? K&N provided a drop-in filter, ASE Performance added a chip, and Fox Sport handled the exhaust. This gives the Benz 215 horses and 222 lb-ft of torque to barrel through the twisties. Of course, there are many instances in which speed is irrelevant. In fact, sometimes creeping along the pavement to allow everyone's camera to flash, and the models to gather, primp, and floss are equally important. So, let's talk body.
Bodies with big kits can be fun, but they also can be overstated, and take away from the rest of a car. Sean, therefore, went with a GT-1 Fiberworks fiberglass prototype touring bumper and a APR V-Spec aluminum adjustable touring wing. A nice balanced look in the front, and a slight bit of attitude sticking up the rear. Looks, performance, and let's see... Ah, yes can't ever forget the mobiletronics.
For ear stimulation, Sean installed a H.O. Wedge sub box from JL, a pair of XR 525-cs 5.25 two-way component door speakers, and a pair of XR 5.25-cx coaxial rear speakers. For bumps from the trunk there's a 500 watt JL Amp to his subs, and 300 watt JL amp for the interior. This arrangement allows for clean, clear sound with a healthy hint of aftermarket thump-age.
I did mention a blueprint, and this, my friends, is how Sean put another fine Euro into the pages of euortuner. It took the work of the tuner gods, and a pirate's booty of freebies from Porn Star, as well as many shout-outs and thankyous. Sean is an obvious guru of eye-candy. He has a style and a presence that easily inserts into any project. In this case, his Euro has become the appropriate extension of a man who took a hobby, and marketed it as a lifestyle. A project car can always use another mod, however. So, have we seen the last of Sean and what he has to offer other Euro enthusiasts? I think not.
