One of our favorite shows of recent years is the slow-burning Dustoff. This local event is perfectly timed in late April to avoid the East Coast's winter chills. It's also perfectly located within the third-mile banked oval at the historic Seekonk Speedway in Seekonk, MA. The steeply sloped turns create a natural amphitheater to display the cars, the concrete walls providing impromptu seating.
Having grown steadily over the years, the organizers counted 651 cars in attendance at 11am, but there was still a line outside as Dubheads continued to arrive. The warm weather was better than previous years, and that undoubtedly contributed to the large turnout as New England enthusiasts came out to represent the scene.
We've been asked to acknowledge the support of Mattie Imports, a company that's supported the event for several years. There was also participation from Vortex, Swift Motorsports, German Auto Parts, New German Performance and Reflex Tuning, many of which donated parts for the raffle.
We've highlighted some of our favorite cars below, but special mention must be made of Dan Crosley's cool Passat Syncro wagon on air-ride, which was judged Best of Show and Best Passat.
