The location perfect, cars abundant, weather splendid, fun ample; this year's second annual Eurowerks had everything going for it and much more. Nearly 200 show cars entered the picturesque Old Grainbelt Brewery venue. The cars were broken up into segments so it wasn't just one big square parking lot.The layout encouraged spectators to walk around and appreciate the history and architecture of the Minneapolis landmark. It was also a treat to witness many of the Midwest's finest Euros in one place.
Predominately Volkswagen, the show reached out to all European makes and models including BMW, Audi, Mercedes, Saab, Mini and a handful of exotics. From the brains of the Eurowerks club including Kris Clewell, Pete Turner and Matthew Slimmer, the show encouraged other fun activities to emphasize a family type of atmosphere. This included a Forza video game challenge and cupcake eating contest. There was also a tricycle figure-eight race where awards were given to the best-modified tricycle and fastest pedaler.
