The Darker Side Of H2Oi You Need To Experience For Yourself.
Picture this: an 11-mile strip that sits one block west of the Atlantic Ocean. The stretch of pavement is lined with hundreds of hotels, motels, restaurants and bars. There are approximately 8000 inhabitants of Ocean City, but when H2O International hits town, the population virtually doubles, thanks to thousands of show cars and hardcore VW/Audi fanatics. If you ask anybody who's attended H2Oi before, many agree their favorite part is the nightlife. Everybody stays up late partying and several take their cars to the streets for cruising or late-night shenanigans.

As we ate dinner off the main strip on Friday and Saturday night, all we heard was the glorious sound of Dubs cruising back and forth.
Driving all the way from Gates, NC was Eric Shivley and his '88 GTI 16v. This Jazz blue Mk2 featured 15x8" BBS RMs, Recaros, Autotech parts and coilovers | Clean Mk4 GTI on BBS LMs | Some drivers were surprised when they were pulled over by a horse |
Saturday night drew the largest crowd at the Hooters restaurant for an informal show 'n shine. Cars filled the parking lot, overflowing into several adjacent lots. The H2Oi organizers awarded many different cars and threw out free merchandise all night long.

On top of the Hooters gathering, hundreds of spectators camped out on the sidewalks with video cameras waiting to see their favorite cars put on a drive-by show.

Unfortunately, Hooters was cleared out ahead of schedule by the local authorities, who even enlisted the state patrol, but the fun continued all night at different areas of the strip.
If you haven't been to H2Oi before, after hours is another reason to attend.
