But for those of you that are not as familiar with this four-letter phenomenon, a little education is in order. Let's start with what SEMA stands for. SEMA is short for "Specialty Equipment Marketing Association." The gala car-tuning event of the year is housed within the 1,120,000 square- foot building of the Las Vegas Convention Center and is hosted during the last week of October, finishing up in the first few days of November. Sorry, but the event is only open to trade professionals and highlights the latest and greatest in automotive performance products and accessories. The SEMA show is where the tuning industry gathers to find out about the latest performance product introductions, cross-marketing opportunities, styling trends, and automotive technologies from some 6,200 vendors in attendance. It's also where the automotive aftermarket unveils its best demo vehicles.
